Pair’d – The History Makers Dinner

Leeuwin Estate Art Gallery

6.30pm, 21 November 2026

For one night only, history swirls its stories in your glass, magic happens on the plate, beauty wraps its arms around you, and the story of how Margaret River grew to become one of the world’s greatest wine regions comes vividly to life.

Leading Australian wine writer, Nick Ryan, has persuaded Margaret River’s most celebrated winemakers, including Leeuwin Estate, Cullen Wines, Moss Wood and Cherubino (to name a few), to crack open the doors of their museum cellars and return with some of the greatest wines this place has ever produced. These are far more than simply dusty bottles. These are the historical markers of the Margaret River story, the benchmark setters, the world beaters.

Inspired by the idea, the acclaimed visionary behind Singapore’s Michelin-starred Burnt Ends, Dave Pynt, is teaming up with our own Dan Gedge to deliver a dining experience up to the challenge of doing these wines justice.

There could be no more fitting home for this event than the Leeuwin Estate Art Gallery – one of the most significant sites in Australian wine – surrounded by the spectacular art collection that has become such a part of this country’s vinous folklore.

These wines are unlikely to sit side by side in the one place ever again. And certainly not with cooking of this calibre and in a room that resonates like this one.

This isn’t just a dinner. It’s a moment in history.
