Showcasing his stellar songwriting, smooth, dusky baritone and effortless brand of stylish retro-cool, Chris Isaak returns to Leeuwin Estate by popular demand to perform the 32nd annual Leeuwin Concert. Isaak’s legendary charismatic live concert performances, infused with his renowned humour and warmth, have entertained audiences and earned him a legion of fans over the past three decades. Guests are invited to stay and enjoy a picnic and dancing to the band during the traditional post-concert ‘arena party’.
Isaak released his first album, Silvertone, to critical acclaim in 1985, with two tracks going on to feature in David Lynch’s cult movie classic Blue Velvet. His best known single, Wicked Game, was a U.S. Top 10 hit, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard chart. The album, Forever Blue (1995), contained the hit, Somebody’s Crying, with both the song and the album nominated for Grammy Awards, whilst bluesy track, Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing, featured in Stanley Kubrick’s film, Eyes Wide Shut. Isaak has sold more than a million albums in Australia alone including 11 ARIA top 20 albums. His new 13th studio album, ‘First Comes The Night’, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album Charts on its release in November. It was mostly written and recorded in Nashville, the city that shaped the careers of some of Isaak’s earliest influences, including Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison. In the course of Chris Isaak’s career he has also acted in several motion pictures, starred in his own critically acclaimed TV series and most recently performed at the 2015 AFL Grand Final and appeared as a judge on Australia’s X Factor.
