Leeuwin Estate releases its wines under three labels, the "Art Series", Prelude Vineyards and Siblings. Whilst the wines in each portfolio follow different lives, they all share a place amongst the great wines of Australia, receiving much international acclaim and attention.
The "Art Series" represents Leeuwin's most opulent and age-worthy wines. They are identified with paintings commissioned from leading contemporary Australian Artists. The "Art Series" wines have obtained outstanding reviews and classifications, the Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons in particular continue to be collector wines and command lofty prices at auctions the world over.
Whilst "Art Series" wines are designed to age and ultimately to be the most opulent, "Prelude Vineyards" wines are made from fruit producing the most readily expressive wines, with the objective that they will drink well soon after release. A Chardonnay and a Cabernet Merlot are released under this label.
During the course of assessing fruit from the vineyards, the winemakers have found that certain blocks, and even certain rows in particular blocks, tend to consistently produce fruit best suited to either of the two styles of Cabernet and Chardonnay they make.
The "Siblings" label represents wines intended for fresh early drinking. As a family business, this label celebrates the role the second generation has played in the ongoing development of Leeuwin Estate.
Leeuwin was first cast into the international spotlight when UK's Decanter magazine gave its highest recommendation to the Estate's second vintage of Chardonnay.
Today the wines of Leeuwin Estate continue to be prized amongst collectors. Australia's largest wine auction house, Langton's, classifies Leeuwin's "Art Series" Chardonnay in the top "exceptional" category of Australia's best performers, and the "Art Series" Cabernet as a wine of excellence.
Continued critical acclaim for Leeuwin wines has lead to the opening of export markets in over 30 countries and the Estate being recognised through the receipt of numerous awards.
On three occasions Leeuwin has been included in the prestigious category of "International Winery of the Year" by US "Wine & Spirits" magazine and included in the prestigious French publication, "100 Vins De Legende", as one of the world's great wine legends.

In Australia Leeuwin continues to remain in the limelight. In Australian Gourmet Traveller WINE Magazine, Halliday has written: "Leeuwin is a class act, every facet of its business working with the precision of a Swiss watch. It stands at the very forefront of estate-based, family owned wineries, its chardonnay widely regarded as Australia's finest, ranking with the world's best."
